Course Overview
Accounting Fundamentals is designed to give students a deliberate and approachable introduction to accounting. Rather than rushing to final financial statements, this course focuses on understanding each step of the accounting cycle and how those steps connect.
Concepts are introduced gradually and reinforced through examples, guided practice, and reflection, allowing learners to build true mastery over time.

Program Goal
The primary goal of Accounting Fundamentals is to help students develop a deep, working understanding of the accounting cycle. By the end of the program, learners should feel confident explaining and completing each step and applying accounting principles in academic and real-world contexts.

Course Structure
Weeks 1–18
Students focus on foundational skills including analyzing transactions, recording journal entries, and posting to the general ledger. A guided practice set is introduced gradually to reinforce learning.
Weeks 19–33
Learners complete the remaining steps of the accounting cycle, including adjustments and reporting, while continuing to build on earlier concepts. The practice set concludes with a full application of the accounting cycle from start to finish.
